Stripe has launched Stripe Treasury for agents, a service that allows startups to delegate financial operations to AI agents, including those powered by ChatGPT and Claude. The offering enables AI agents to access financial information and perform tasks such as checking account balances, settling invoices, transferring money between accounts and converting currencies. Stripe plans to […]
Anthropic, the AI company behind Claude, has released the most detailed account of its business yet, as it prepares for its IPO. We break down the biggest surprises in its S-1 filing and explain what the numbers tell us about the AI bubble. Then, Signal president Meredith Whittaker joins us in the studio to discuss the existential threat facing private messaging and end-to-end encryption. Between governments demanding backdoor access to private conversations and AI agents that can see…
AI use is surging among white collar workers, according to BCG research, but organisations may be overlooking the key factors that link adoption with increased job satisfaction.
Novel view synthesis and 3D reconstruction have advanced rapidly with radiance fields and splatting, yet their memory and computational demands limit their use in resource-constrained settings. We introduce Hexels: novel planar hexagonal surface elements with a first-order spatial color field for efficient 3D scene and 2D image representation. Hexels exploit locally planar regions with smoothly varying appearance using fewer, larger primitives. Their hexagonal support provides an area- and boundary-efficient domain, while the local color field captures appearance variation within each primitive. Across 34 scenes, Hexels improve PSNR over memory-matched 2DGS by 4.53-7.38 dB across datasets while requiring lower training VRAM. We further ablate Hexels by showing that per primitive, Hexels outperform 2DGS by upto 4.74 dB while using lower training VRAM and having 2.31 times faster FPS. Even in unconstrained settings, Hexels offers complementary quality-memory trade-offs. For efficient 3D surface reconstruction, Hexels reduce error by 28.9% compared with memory-matched 2DGS across 15 DTU scans. On 6 Tanks and Temples surface scenes, Hexels achieves the highest mean F1 among compared…
Flint is Recursive’s mixture-of-experts language model for coding agents, with 39.8 billion total parameters and approximately 2.5 billion active per token. It is designed to investigate codebases, fix bugs, implement features, and write tests.
DPI Venture Capital has announced the final close of its Nclude Fund at over $112 million, to invest in technology startups across Africa and the Middle East. Established in Egypt in 2022, Nclude came under DPI Venture Capital's investment advisory management in 2025 following…
The SWOT (Surface Water Ocean Topography) mission is currently providing unpreceded high-resolution measurements of Sea Surface Height (SSH), revealing ocean features at finer scales. Nevertheless, the two-dimensional observations of KaRIn altimeter of SWOT suffer from…
Learned-memory methods store information in an explicit table and consume it through a separate reader, allowing addressing, storage, and reading to be modified independently. We study whether useful memory can also be generated rather than only retrieved. MemoryAthena uses…
Clinically useful early detection requires validated pre-recognition lead time. Yet event-based evaluations of longitudinal clinical AI can treat recognition-mediated care-process signals as shortcuts and recognition-dependent endpoints as reference standards, inflating…
Deep learning performance generally improves with increasing training data, yet this scaling is fundamentally constrained by annotation cost in large-scale dense prediction tasks with long-tailed category distributions, where pixel- or voxel-level annotation is prohibitively…
