When most people think about investing in artificial intelligence, they think of chip stocks, hyperscalers, or the upcoming IPOs of the massive companies that produce AI models. But building AI capacity requires much more than the processors and models that millions of people use in their daily lives.
Amazon is investing in cross-border logistics, faster delivery networks and localized marketplace features across Europe, Asia, and Latin America, positioning it to capitalize on areas where digital retail penetration remains comparatively low.
Morgan Stanley's head of AI for its wealth management division said advisors have so far 'curated' nearly 50,000 AI agents. It's a hands-on approach not common at large wealth managers.
ChatGPT Plus is $20 a month and Pro is $100, $200 or $500. Compare the models, usage tiers and Codex access, and see when upgrading is a waste of money.
Radiologists' visual attention can supervise medical image learning, but how reader panel composition affects its value remains untested. We evaluated GazeRIB (Gaze-guided Radiologist-Informed Blackout), which masks unviewed regions during training and uses unmasked images at inference. Eight experts repeatedly read the same 80 chest X-rays (CXRs). We compared individual readers with three-, five- and eight-reader panels across seven architectures and 10 seeds, evaluating 910 models on a separate 2,897-CXR cohort for four-class severity prediction. Every panel improved macro F1 over the no-gaze baseline by 5.33-7.47 percentage points (pp; Bonferroni-adjusted p < 0.007); no individual reader reached significance on this endpoint. Three readers captured 73-80% of the eight-reader gain in macro F1, the area under the receiver-operating-characteristic curve (ROC-AUC) and the area under the precision-recall curve (AU-PRC). On external validation without retraining, all four panels improved ROC-AUC on SIIM-FISABIO-RSNA by +1.93 to +4.24 pp (p <= 0.004); on MIMIC-Eye no panel differed significantly from baseline, whereas the single-reader average declined (-1.40 pp, p = 0.008). Reader…
Idol turns one picture of an object into a 3D Gaussian splat. Give it a render, a generated image or a photo: it removes the background, frames the object and generates up to 1,048,576 Gaussians, written as a standard 3DGS .ply. It runs on consumer GPUs, using 7.2 GB of VRAM…
The importance of deep neural networks (DNNs) is widely recognized, and the parameters obtained through training are regarded as valuable assets. Recently, attacks that extract these parameters using only oracle queries to a DNN have been actively studied at IACR conferences.…
Long-term memory is essential for large language model (LLM) agents to maintain consistency and personalization over extended interactions. Existing memory systems typically rely on fixed granularities or static schemas, but these designs struggle when heterogeneous…
Transformer-based models have recently achieved strong performance on 3D reconstruction from images, and recent works extend them to process video streams in an online manner for real-world deployment. However, existing methods overlook two key signals when handling long image…
Joint remaining useful life (RUL) prediction and capacity estimation require representations of both gradual degradation and recent battery behavior. This paper presents a cross-expert framework using partial-charging measurements without requiring measured historical…
