Controllable 3D part generation is pivotal for digital asset creation, yet existing methods lack the flexibility to accommodate diverse user workflows requiring varying levels of control. In this paper, we introduce FlexPart, a unified image-to-3D part generation framework that supports variable-granularity geometric conditions within a single model. By seamlessly integrating heterogeneous inputs, ranging from sparse points to dense bounding boxes and masks, via gated adaptive modulation, FlexPart unlocks a powerful cross-modal synergy. We also propose an asymmetric geometric guidance mechanism that leverages strong spatial priors to align representations across granularities, improving geometric consistency and facilitating inter-task synergy. Under mask conditioning on PartVerseXL, FlexPart reduces Part CD by 16.6% relative to TripoSG + SAM3D and by 10.5% relative to OmniPart, while maintaining competitive whole-mesh quality. Flint is Recursive’s mixture-of-experts language model for coding agents, with 39.8 billion total parameters and approximately 2.5 billion active per token. It is designed to investigate codebases, fix bugs, implement features, and write tests.
In Foreign Affairs, historian Niall Ferguson, researcher Lisa Klaassen, and former Google CEO Eric Schmidt cast the US and China as AI empires and every other country as a dependency. The race won't be decided by breakthroughs but by who can bankroll it. US corporations alone…
Recent advances in sign language understanding have achieved impressive success on short, single-sentence videos, yet their performance drops sharply when applied to long, continuous sign language videos. To bridge this gap, we focus on a challenging and realistic setting:…
Models trained with reinforcement learning for calibrated decisions (RLCD), such as Jev, answer a typed question about an input, the state, with a probability, a choice, or a score, and software acts on the answer without a person reading it. Their robustness has not been…
Knowledge distillation is the standard way to compress encrypted-traffic classifiers for the edge, and almost all such work judges students by accuracy alone. We ask what else a student inherits: unknown-traffic detection, calibration, shortcut reliance, and whether any…
Most Vision-Language Models (VLMs) are built by extending pretrained Large Language Models (LLMs) with visual modules and multimodal alignment. However, this multimodal scaling often degrades the language-side reasoning ability originally encoded in the base LLM. While the base…
